About
Community Integration at Little Farm
Adults | Self-Determination Program
Community Integration at Little Farm is a nature-based program designed for neurodiverse adults participating through California’s Self-Determination Program (SDP). Our program supports meaningful engagement, social connection, employment readiness, and independent living skills within a supportive farm and community environment.
Participants engage in real-life, hands-on experiences including gardening, caring for chickens, art, cooking, cleaning, and daily routines that build confidence and autonomy. We support adults in developing practical life skills such as grocery shopping, budgeting, managing personal finances, meal preparation, and maintaining shared spaces.
Community outings, including visits to local farmers markets and neighborhood destinations, are an important part of the program. Employment support is woven throughout, helping adults build responsibility, workplace readiness, and transferable skills in a natural, strengths-based way.
At Little Farm, adults are valued as contributing members of a community. Our approach honors individual interests and goals while fostering purpose, independence, and belonging.
StarSeed Studios
Creative Arts & Theater
StarSeed Studios is an inclusive creative arts, theater, and film program serving neurodiverse children and adults. Through storytelling, theater, filmmaking, music, movement, and visual art, participants explore self-expression, collaboration, and imagination in a supportive and affirming environment.
In addition to performance, participants learn how to create short films from start to finish, including producing, filmmaking, acting, editing, and creative decision-making. The process supports communication, teamwork, confidence, and problem-solving while honoring each individual’s creative voice.
StarSeed Studios provides a joyful and meaningful pathway for social learning, self-expression, and creative growth through the arts.
Myofunctional Therapy
Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy
Myofunctional Therapy focuses on the function and coordination of the muscles of the face, mouth, and airway. This therapy supports healthy breathing patterns, oral posture, chewing, swallowing, and speech for both children and adults.
We also provide myofunctional therapy for adults experiencing TMJ (temporomandibular joint) dysfunction, jaw tension, pain, and related symptoms. Therapy is individualized and designed to support long-term functional change.
Sessions are offered both in person and via Zoom, allowing flexibility for families and adults. We offer structured 15-week therapy packages to support consistency, commitment, and optimal outcomes.
Our approach is supportive, collaborative, and grounded in whole-person care.
Speech & Language Therapy
Play-Based & Relationship-Centered
Our Speech & Language Therapy services support expressive and receptive communication, social language, articulation, literacy, and functional communication for neurodiverse children and adults. Therapy is individualized, play-based, and grounded in connection and respect.
We utilize evidence-based programs such as Lindamood-Bell®, including the Talkies® Program, to support speech, phonemic awareness, and literacy development. For nonverbal and minimally verbal individuals, we use letter boards to support spelling-based communication and language expression.
We also integrate AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), including PandaPal, an AAC communication device designed by Kimberly DeLand, to support functional communication for nonverbal children. Our approach honors communication as a fundamental human right and supports each individual’s unique communication style.
Parent Coaching & Support Groups
Support for Families
Parent Coaching offers individualized guidance and collaborative support for parents and caregivers of neurodiverse children and adults. Coaching focuses on communication strategies, regulation, social development, and practical tools to support connection at home and in daily life.
In addition to one-on-one coaching, we offer parent support groups that provide space for shared learning, reflection, and community. Mindfulness and meditation practices are woven throughout our parent services to support caregiver well-being and nervous system regulation.
We also host monthly sound bath and meditation women’s circles, as well as annual women’s and men’s retreats, creating opportunities for deeper restoration, connection, and personal growth.
Our parent services are designed to support families as whole systems, offering compassion, insight, and community along the journey.
Social Communication & Play
Children | Home-Based, Groups & Little Farm Sessions
Our Social Communication & Play services support neurodiverse children in developing meaningful connection, shared attention, and social understanding through play and relationship- based experiences. We meet each child where they are, honoring their communication style, interests, and sensory needs.
Services are offered through in-home visits, small social skills groups, and sessions at Little Farm. Through play-based interactions, creative activities, and real-life social experiences, children build skills such as turn-taking, perspective-taking, emotional expression, and collaborative problem-solving.
Our approach emphasizes connection first, allowing social learning to grow naturally within safe, supportive relationships and engaging environments.
